Food Supplement Should Be Banned


                   Nowadays, there are many people pay more attention to their health. And we can not deny that food supplements play an important role in health circles. Actually, they have benefits to our health. However, when we compare the extravagance and impact of eating and buying them, do you think that it is good or bad? Eating food supplement has many disadvantages.

               First of all, eating too much food supplements sometimes affects our body and we lose money unnecessarily. The research found that eating a lot of food supplements may have adverse effects on health, for example, headache and diarrhea (Knowledge Management of Thai FDA, 2010). Also, according to the Craib Cas (cited in Chammani, 2011), British academics warn that the consumption of food supplements in a large quantities may be more harmful than advantageous, and increase the risk to cancer.

               On the other hand, eating food supplements will help our body get proper nutrition that lead to good health and stay away from diseases. Moreover, the food supplements will be very useful for people who have health problems because they will heal the body completely. Furthermore, they can be used to treat some diseases instead of medicines, for example, cod liver oil helps to reduce symptoms of arthritis (Pattamahsing, 2011). However, eating healthy foods has many benefits. We can make our health strong by eating enough food from five food groups, exercise regularly and have enough rest. We can do these by ourselves. We should not rely on food supplements.

                To sum up, eating food supplements will affect badly to our body and we have to lose money as well. If we want to have good health, the best way is to exercise fifteen minutes a day. Exercise will help us live without diseases. So, food supplements should be banned.
